Yahoo has come up with 3.0 version of Yahoo! IM for Mac. The last time it was updated was in September 2003. It has an interesting set of features but lacks two of PC version most important features – VoIP and the growing library of plugins which have been built on the recently released software development kit.
Given below are the features:
• Avatars and animated emoticons
• New interface built in Cocoa
• Custom stealth setting
• Webcam support compatible across PCs and Macs
• IM alerts for Yahoo! Calendar, Mails and Personals
• Visual notifications using the Growl system
It should appeal to the masses.
