A Qik Marriage Proposal
Filed in archive General by Dameon Welch-Abemathy on March 19, 2008
Qik is a program that you run on your Nokia N95 (or similar) device that allows you to stream live video over WiFi, 3G, or EDGE. They co-sponsored Pat Phelan's St. Patrick's Day party on Monday night and it was in use throughout both Jeff Pulver's Social Medial breakfast and his party.

And, of course, it is in use at the VON.x Conference going on in San Jose, CA this week. In fact, it captured a rather personal moment: a marriage proposal!

Congratulations to Ken Camp and Sheryl Breuker on the engagement. Had I known it was going on at that moment, I would have been there to see it in person! That being said, I was thankful I got to see it. Thanks to Qik, it was made available to the world instantly. I could see it when I was able to.
