Making VoIP Calls Using Cell Phone Not an Easy Task

voip cellphone.jpg

VoIP has emerged as one of the most economical ways to call and the trend of using VoIP on your cell phones is catching up but using VoIP on your cell phones might not be as easy as it looks.

Take for example iSkoot which works on only certain models of Cingular and T-Mobile phones. You can certainly do nothing if you have handsets of other providers.

In case you are using VoxLib's Vox for Skype from your cell phone, you are required to type in the first three letters of the name of the person you intend to call which you might find a bit difficult punching on the keypad of your phone and in case you don't enter the letters within the time limit you stand to get disconnected and finally when you get connected the voice quality would depend the connection of the person you have called up and the handset being used. Making calls using Vox for Skype on your mobile phone can be a cumbersome job and time consuming too.

In case you are using Rebtel, cell phone might not be a necessity but using mobiles you can call anyone at the touch of a button and a local number is generated for the both the people on the line and in this manner you chat with each other for free but there is a problem that this service does not generate a local number in some of the countries where it can be used and as a result the recipient might not able to enjoy a free call.

Besides all this, cost of these economical calls might be offset by fee from a mobile voip provider and also remember that you have to pay per minute charge for using your cell phone therefore it might not emerge as an attractive proposition.

actually jajah makes it quite easy(all you need is opera mini and you can acces your mobile’s phonebook from the browser so you don’t have to know the numbers).
talkster also does well, you can acces your contacts(not your phonebook though).

Easy? Low cost? EASY with Rebtel. You can call 37 countries today for FREE! and Rebtel is growing fast. I constantly make international calls and have found Rebtel rates to be most competitive. So, I use them even for call outside of their country list. Thus far, they have saved me hundreds of dollars! The best part is that you can use a land line or a mobile phone with Rebtel – avoiding those other pesky charges the operators try to sneak in. Rebtel – how sweet and easy!
