onSIP: A Hosted PBX For Small Business
Filed in archive Companies by Dameon Welch-Abemathy on October 31, 2007

Much like Centrex, a hosted PBX is off-site, but not at your local telco. Your phones and your PBX are connected over IP and communicating with SIP, H.323, or another protocol. The major problem with a hosted PBX: cost.
Junction Networks has an innovative service called onSIP. For the price of a single extension with a typical hosted PBX provider, you get unlimited extensions with all the big PBX features like voicemail, automated attendants, call hunt groups, dial-by-name directories, and optional (extra cost) automatic call distribution queues. All on-net calling is included, other calls are charged at nominal rates.
Once the service leaves private beta, you can be up and running in your small business for as little as 10 minutes and $40 with a 30-day free trial. That's quite a time and money saver, something every small business owner can appreciate!
