U.S Troops to Connect For Free With Their Families during Christmas
Filed in archive Calling plans by gautam on November 23, 2006

Let me tell you that Verizon has been offering free holiday calls for the last three years and for making this possible Verizon had installed a mobile communications facility with phones out there.
Besides Verizon even AT&T is trying to do something for the defence forces and is offering around ten thousand prepaid
phone cards for U.S soldiers serving in Europe, Asia and MiddleEast. I feel this is an appreciable gesture from these companies which are meeting their obligations towards the society and nothing better than creating communication between the soldier and the family who are miles apart doing their duties. Certainly the soldiers would feel better during Christmas in an alien land and would be able to perform their duties in an effective manner after listening from their families. All thanks to VoIP which has made the whole world seem small.
